In February 2012, I set up a local "selling group" on Facebook because there wasn't one for my area.

Over the years, it has become much more than just a selling group, and currently boasts over 69,000 members.

​

As well as buying an selling, the group also acts as a community lifeline for many people.

​

People post lost pets, ask each other for advice and find out about local events and activities.

​

During Covid, the group was a huge support to the community as people helped each other, let each other know ehere there was toilet roll in stock, and offered to help with shopping and collecting prescriptions if members were isolating.

​

My group is the biggest group in Bassetlaw, and possibly the whole of Nottinghamshire.
